Playing Around

Wauwatosa and Lisle denizens on stage

I had the pleasure of attending Grace, Claire and Jack's participation in the musical "Joseph" (as in the coat of many colors). It was quite spectacular, approaching professional level theater. The costumes, the props, the scenery, the blocking was all done to perfection. Unhappily, Grace was not feeling well, but performed anyway.

Peter and Marilyn also had the opportunity to see "Joesph" earlier in the week and, much to my surprise and pleasure, waited for me to arrive to say "Hi" Sunday before heading back to Minneapolis.

I just finished my performance as Candy in Steinbeck's "Of Mice and Men". It was a pretty nice role for me. And our final weekend sported our biggest attendance. In fact, our final performance literally had people standing for lack of seating. Can't ask for a better compliment than that!

"Living Waters" is coming up for me Easter week and the following week. They ran out of Presbyterians to play the Apostle roles, so they once again took on their token Lutheran to play Thomas. Sadly, last weekend our lead tenor collapsed during the rehearsal and had be taken to the hospital by ambulance. I have not heard how he is doing.

No, the Lisle house has not yet sold. And we are having quite a time trying to get the financing squared away. Not fun.
